Wines For One and All

by Farley

wines for your tasting pleasure
I was a little delayed in posting this one, what with all the good times and decorations going on…. but you can still come by and taste these wines for a couple days before I change the menu again.

Complimentary Tasting

Whites
2006 Marsanne, Preston Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley $25
Bobbing for Fuji apples… and pears… and hazelnuts
until you’re distracted by the scent of honeydew and honeysuckle

2006 Côte du Bone Blanc, Château la Paws $14
Like an endearing mutt who wins your heart,
this blend charms you with peaches, cream, vanilla, and orange blossoms

Reds
2005 Zinfandel, Paso Robles, Appellation Series $18
A stop at the fruit stand on the side of a dusty country road,
the sun beating down on raspberries, cherries, strawberries, and walnuts

2005 Zinfandel, Harris Kratka Vineyard, Alexander Valley $35
How rain smells when it first hits the pavement, but this time
the drops transform into plums, cherries, and figs striking the earth

2005 Petite Sirah, Pickett Road, Napa Valley $35
Walking along the craggy rocks that pepper the Maine coast,
as you pick ripe blueberries, the juice staining your fingers and lips

*Reserve Flight - $5.00 *
2005 Zinfandel, Monte Rosso Reserve, Sonoma Valley $45
A fruit tart complete with blackberries, raspberries, and cherries,
with touches of vanilla and cinnamon

2005 Zinfandel, Hendry Reserve, Napa Valley $45
One lone wisp of smoke makes its way past chocolate and toffee
and that accidental berry cross created by James Logan in Santa Cruz

2005 Syrah, Kick Ranch Reserve, Sonoma County $45
Black cardamom kicks up this smoky wine that is an explosion of tannins,
softened by pomegranates and figs
