Wine Blog Rating

I saw this on the Winehiker’s blog and wanted to see how I stack up.

Apparently, my PG is based on the appearance of the word breast one time, which, by the way, was preceeded by chicken. However, the times I was inclined to use hell and damn didn’t seem to register on the radar. And I guess they aren’t worried about all the wine consumption either.

Regardless, happy reading and happy 4th of July!

    My blog is also PG. This is because of its egregious use of the word ‘Polack.’ Since it’s my surname, I do wonder if that makes me PG and waht I ought to do about it.

    Crazy. So what happens if a reader gets on here and posts a comment with words like “@#$%”, “&*#^”, and “@!*%”? Does that influence your rating, or is it only on the initial post?

    Ok wait - are you sure you’ve used “hell” before? Because sfgate (which claims to be a family-oriented publication) is rated PG-13 for the use of “death” and “hell”… I’d have to agree that these ratings don’t seem very reasonable. For example: according to them, my chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse are only 49%! Now, I’ve never experienced one first hand, but I’m pretty sure I’d have at least a 73% chance, or even better if I had a chainsaw. Ooops! Sorry, can I say “chainsaw” on this blog?

    Yes, I just found at least two posts where I used hell and only cause I don’t have time to find more.

    As for the comments, I’m not sure. And a chainsaw is ok, I bet, if it’s inactive.

    I just tested my site again, and I’m still Rated G. I suppose I deserve it. However this time I discovered that I maintained my G rating because of a single instance of the word “limbs”.

    Huh? *Limbs??*
