Tasting Room Holiday Party Pictorial

by Farley

the guys starting slowlythe girls a little aheadMonday evening we had our holiday party at Foreign Cinema in San Francisco. Quite a charming place to which I’ll have to return and actually watch a film. A few of us girls took the ferry over and therefore got there a little early. That meant having to check out the bar downstairs, while waiting for our room to be ready. We had some tasty cocktails, though the wine list looked rather promising. Then it was onwards and upwards, in our balcony overlooking the rest of the dining area and bar.

Kenny G, who never stops double vision: Aura and KristenEveryone brought a bottle to share and a bottle for the White Elephant exchange. We drank tons of bubbly, including the divine Gloria Ferrer Carneros Cuvee, a Gigondas, Pinot Noir, and the 2003 Thomas Fogarty Barbera which I decided to share and that was quite the hit. I ended up with a Cuvaison Chardonnay from the trade, and there was a Stag’s Leap S.L.V. floating around along with some other goodies.

And since not everyone showed up who said they would, we had plenty to go around. Overall, it was a fun evening and a nice end to a lot of hard work throughout the year.

Yesterday the whole winery had a holiday party, which I’ll write about later, even though I was mostly watching it from up in the tasting room. (Hence, our own party)
