2005 Zinfandel, Aparicio Vineyard, Amador County $25
Arpeggio is a broken chord, but this Aparicio is just fine
with its white pepper, figs, almonds, and hint of pine

2005 Syrah, England Shaw Vineyard, Solano County $35
Whatever will be, will be… blackberries, leather, forest floor, violets,
smoke, and mild tannins

2005 Petite Sirah, Kick Ranch Vineyard, Sonoma County $35
Get your kicks on Route 66 with the crushed rocks,
blueberries, currants, and sage

The mighty jungle lulls the lions to sleep in a field of lavender
with an evening snack of peppered beef teriyaki and black currants
